Norfolk has a treasure trove of medieval churches
and villages which any English county would find hard to better.
St. Mary's church is in the heart of the village of
Whissonsett, which lies four miles south of Fakenham in the heart
of Norfolk.
Surrounded by orchards, the village itself encircles
another expanse of fields in which the mainly 14th-century church
nestles, framed by trees, it is an idyllic scene.
Revd Robin Stapleford covers the Upper Wensum Benifice which
includes the churches of Whissonsett, Brisley, Colkirk/Oxwick, Great
Ryburgh, Horningtoft, Gateley, Dunton and Shereford, he has a new church website (St Mary's and surrounding benefice) namely www.upperwensum.co.uk .
More information regarding Services at the Churches
can be found in "The Upper Wensum Diary" (Parish Magazine),
or by looking at the Church Notice Boards.
The Upper Wensum Benifice is part of The
Diocese of Norwich .
