Broadband.
There may be an opportunity for faster speed broadband in Whissonsett. There is a company in Norwich which is willing to undertake improved broadband services in this area and they currently have a project starting in Beeston this summer. The speeds are said to be well in excess of 2 megabits per second and in some cases are considerably more while the cost is in the region of £25 per month per user.
In order to assess the feasibility of a particular area they need the participation of a minimum of 20 users within a 5 kilometre radius. If the project goes ahead they will need to install an aerial and a small amount of electrical equipment on a tall building such as the church, for which they are willing to pay a fee. Neither the electrical equipment nor the aerial is obtrusive and neither would be visible from the ground.

Other schemes involving BT etc rely on over 1000 people being involved and because they depend on laying cables are very expensive.
